Robust and foolproof closing mechanism was the reason behind why Tanel's design came out on top. There's no doubt this one can be closed firmly, and opened in a quick move. Simple design, few parts, different approach to the closing system - it was all there. Congrats Tanel!
Sleek design and simple construction helped Ross's UFO vent to grab the 2nd place. Many thought this was the best looking vent in the competition. With couple of modifications this could have been a winner too.... It was a close fight.
Thing that caught jury's eye was the closing mechanism. Simple design, small number of parts and firm belief that this one is waterproof when closed lifted Jonathan's design to a respectful 3rd place.
