GrabCAD 3D Printing Challenge

Medium

Think it’d be cool to upload your model to GrabCAD and receive a free 3D printed model in the mail? So do we.

That’s why, starting today, the creator of the most “liked” new model* (based simply on sheer number of likes from the community) each week will have a 3D print of their model shipped to them. The 3D prints will be small, so many winning models will have to be scaled down.

*Of course, as always, all models must adhere to our terms of service.

Upload your model for the potential to win your model in actual 3D this week for display on your desktop, bookshelf or coffee table!

Requirements

  • Model must be 3D printable

  • Model must have an .STL format available

  • “Likes” will be tallied on Sunday, and we will only consider models uploaded in the most recent seven days

  • Your profile must be entirely filled in

  • Model must be uploaded to this challenge page

Prizes

3D Printed Model

Our winner each week will receive a 3D printed version of their model. Simple as that.

About the jury?

The entire GrabCAD community!
(staff will contact winner after double-checking that most "liked" model fits all other criteria)

I suppose the dimension will be scaled but I don't know what will be the 3D print max height/width/depth dimmension...

@Tobias We don't have exact specifications, because we'll working with a number of 3D printers at first while we figure out what works best! Dimensions will likely be scaled, but how much depends on the model

@Hevi We see your point, but for now we're going to keep the voting open. Obviously nobody can like a model more than once. If somebody goes through and likes all the models it won't help any single model win.

When will start next 3d print challenge? Immediately when this one will end or maybe we need to wait for results of this one?

I must agree with Doug here, the judging is only supposed to count the likes from a certain date. That is done in a few minutes.
