This idea for a puzzle game I had just recently but I found out that it is almost impossible to produce in real life. Amazingly this challenge now gives me the oppurtunity to make the game/puzzle virtual, which even gives me more possibilities.

Idea for the puzzle is a 3D Maze containing several cubical rings. The chrome ball falls into the device in the starting point and by rotating , scrolling and moving the device the ball has to be moved to the end of the first ring . After the first ring is done the second and third ring will follow. When entering more to the middle of the cube it gets more difficult because the path to follow will be less visible the further you go inside. After the ball is moved to the end of the last ring it falls out and the compass can be opened.

I did not model ring 2 and 3 yet. Only ring 1 is visible.

I don't think this is what they wanted for this puzzle contest.

Robert, I think I have to agree with you.

I am also working on a solution where the compass it self plays a roll. Because with what I uploaded the direct connection to the compass is not there anymore (the ball falls through the last ring and the compass opens) and I think that might be more the intention of the challenge.

But then again, changing the storyboard a little bit will give a lot more possibilities and then this solution will also fit :-)

Certainly a very cool puzzle, don't get me wrong, but I can't wait to see what you do to it next.

woot. I don't know how you add the compass, but I like the ball puzzle.
