I've just looked at the file, the level of details you've got is amaising! :) I am thinking to suggest it for our aerolab for educational propose, so students can do CFD on it :)

By the way, you can do decals in solidworks. Basically with decals you do not have to do a split-line feature in order to paind different places in different colors. It is lokated in Photoworks tab, however it stays with the model in any render
