Made after the actual tech drawings released by Apple on their website. Perfect for designing accessories etc. Now contains .sldprt .step and .x_t formats.
Thanks Hardi, I spent most of the day on it. It was only supposed to be an hour, but I wanted to practice some surfacing and get all the details perfect. I even typed out the text that goes on the back bottom.
Adam, I wish hombre. I've got a Mac Air, so it would be a little redundant.
Yeah I can't imagine they would be real great for SolidWorks, I was just wondering if Hardi had it installed on his ipad. It would be nice to have one though.
Great model, like Hardi said very detailed. I am not a apple fan (hence the Anti-Mac ;P) but I got to play around with my aunts over thanksgiving and I hate to admit it but I really like it, now if it only ran android or WP7.... hehe
the OS isn't really user-friendly and I think Anroid is better. But there are lot of cool apps for Ipad. And I use it lot to see what's is happening here in GrabCAD.
I don't think SolidWorks would be possible at all, you would need an 'app' version. That being said I've seen some CAD programs for iPhone, which means they would be a go for iPad.
I'm not really a Mac fan either, just because they are not good for my needs. They are well designed and easy to use, but they're not meant to be tinkered with at all.
I don't know I bet it could still run SolidWorks. It looked like you could still use the top screen and open programs just like windows 7. It would be cool to run SolidWorks on one of them thats for sure. If they made an app it would probably be even better.
Hmm, I didn't know you could run installed programs. Still, SolidWorks only operates on a Mac with BootCamp, and I don't think they'd have that on the iPad, since it's not supposed to be used like a computer. Some of the CAD apps they have look cool, really easy to use.
hi, where did you get dimesions for this model or did you reverse engineer from your own product? do you have any drawings? i'd love to try model it up in inventor.
Really realistic model. Played with that one today. And it even had a apple logo back like in real Ipad.
over 1 year agoWere you using your ipad?

over 1 year agoI bought one and it's actually really useful for reading books, making notes and for Sketching with Sketchbook.
over 1 year agoI would most likely get one if I still did a lot of reading.
