Can someone explain why the bottom of the shock can not be mounted directly to the bottom of the swing arm and not on the small L bracket which is then connected to another bracket and finally the shock? There must be a good reason but I can't figure it out. Also if there are other really cool rear suspensions like this please add a link or upload it (especially if done in Solidworks) PS thanks uploader best one I have found so far to help me create my own design. If you have finished your complete electric mountain bike design please post it so other designers like me can get a big head start from someone smarter lol.
wow, this is some nise assembly! Very good job my friend! ;)
andrey: I think that all these links in suspension system are necessery because of the smooth rebound of the rear wheel, when compressed and turning back. And ofcourse because of the torque force from the hit of the wheel to the spring. I am not really an expert but I know the difference between riding a bike with several links in the suspension system and bike with a single pivot and a shock. The ride is much smoother with multi pivot bike.. Hope I helped you
