This presentation/placeholder brake disk model accompanies this other model of mine:
Camaro Wheel (Tire and Rim) Pirelli
The diameter of the brake disc in total is 0.17m. Use scale (in solidworks or your render program) to adjust it to your liking.
For keyshot 2.3 and up, materials all set and carefully made.

8 months agoSuper wicked Robert that is for the model
and Super bad ass kiking for the render with the car in it I love the way you make your renders stand out for everyone else, you have a great imagination for rendering
8 months ago:)))))
I agree with WILLIAM, this render (and that 'mountain-road-drifting') are especially awsome. It wouldn't be so good without a great model and your Camaro is great. I like all this details, I know how much patience it requires. Grille looks like a real, I mean REALLY REAL :-). Very, very good job Robert.
8 months agoYou guys are too kind, you make me blush!
I really hope that I get more time in the future to get more rendering done.

5 months agowhat year camaro is it off of? is the caliper dimensionally accurate?
5 months agoThis brake disc is my creation. This model doesn't exists.
The brake disc is a creation based on existing ones, same goes for the caliper.
The dimension are close, but based on drawings of the rim of a camaro wheel. The diameter of the brake disc in total is 0.17m.
5 months agogood very nice congratulations.
5 months agoNice work.
4 months agoWhy isn't an assembly?
I always work with parts, most of the time I create complete "assembly's" in a part. I find that easier to work with. When it is finished... I extract the bodies from the part file.. and make an assembly from it.
This brakedisk didn't need an assembly in my opinion...

4 months agoHi Ravi, what you want can differ between manufactures or the type of car. However, perhaps this can help: http://www.amazon.com/Disc-Brake-Squeal-Evaluation-Prevention/dp/0768012481/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1328440474&sr=1-1
