HI all. Here is my vision of the car, adopted for requirements of the challenge.
In accordance with my principles of design, I tried to create "clear" design without numerous of small details. Somebody said "the beauty is in functionality". The main motive here is general shape. All volumes of the body are not increased more than it's necessary.
Here are presented some attempts to apply general "native" elements, from historical roots of race cars.
The base remains almost the same. It's just applied wider frontal glass and slightly changed rear wing.
Removable roof is not exclude by present design. But it hasn't influence on it. So, It isn't marked here.
This design is more preferable for street, except of wing, maybe.. Perhaps it's would be better to replace it with low spoiler. But initial configuration wing is very non-ordinary for the street cars, so I kept it.
To adopt the design of the car for racing it is necessary to add frontal wing and low thresholds, increase cooling holes, and make smth in the rear side based on aerodynamic researches. These tasks are engineering mostly, imho.
The preferable colors for this body are classic white or blue. Lower part is better to paint in neutral dark color. Here are presented also silver and black ones, accordingly to requirements.
Comments:
hmmm...teh approach has it´s moments like the back view but all in all it looks unbalanced and not finally elaborated in shape and detailing..
Thanks for the comment, Michael. As I wrote at description, I have not tried to create "cosmic" car design. To understand it better, among of main aims was to make car visually lighter with right proportions, without unused volumes. And overall approach was to find some new in classic design of race/sport cars. Maybe this approach unpopular now. Anyway I very like this car!
PS. To private messengers: I'll vote only for design that I really like. Thanks!
Like your other design better. But clearly you were minimalizing body wrap.
