Lightweight transverse crankshaft for 10 cylinder engine. This design was inspired by Porsche 911 billet crankshaft. It should be about as lightweight as they can come without adding inserts.
This is for a virtual engine I have planned out, so the dimensions are not specific to any commercial vehicle. Bore spacing is 94mm, stroke is 78mm, and I used Evolution Motorsport's Porsche billet crank as a guide:

Thanks John, I really appreciate it. Sorry, probably not going to be seeing much if anymore of these. I would love to, but at the moment I am working some crazy hours. Hardly get enough time to take care of my at-home essentials so CAD will have to wait.....for now.
Is it for a specific engine or just an illustrative model?

very interesting but it seems the link on your comment is broken.
over 1 year agoWorks for me. Try copy/pasting the address. Or just do an image search for Porsche billet crank, should be the third picture if using Google.
over 1 year agoit's working now, maybe the site was down last time I checked.
over 1 year agoThat's one beautiful model. Will you be posting more from the engine?
