I participated in the http://grabcad.com/challenges/grabcad-needs-a-mascot and thought it would be fun to have a rendering of all the entries together to really see how they compared to eachother. A few of you also thought this would be a good idea so I decided to undertake this challenge.

I came across many more obstacles along This is about 90% of my top picks, as I ran out of downloads and some of the models I was able to download did not convert properly into my SolidWorks or were extremely over sized in scale compared to the rest.

I'm going to do any more work while I am at school as the computers there are much more fast.

I may attempt to go full color but a few of the models did not transfer any color or textures so that will take much more time and I should be doing homework. I do like the monotone because it really lets you compare the models without the colors distracting. Also a better idea of how they would look printed in the cheapest way.

Models include: (I think they are all listed - in no particular order)
grabby thebot
Grabby Bot Item Holder
G2D2 GrabCAD Mascot
Grabby-Mr. Big Foot
Grabby the Bot
Grabby (sorry I lost the mouth)
The Mighty Grabby
Grabby mascot
GrabbyTheBot - Candy Holder
GrabbyTheBot [Miniture Figurine Mascot]
grabbythefrogbot
GrabbyTheBot

@Selcuk OZMUMCU , feel free to add a rendering and you can set all the surfaces and appearances as you wish. When I put together all the models into one assembly, with all the different files and versions, some details were lost from some models - and a few that wanted to be included didn't even make it. I am sure you know the work and time it takes to get your model just right, it takes even more to try and do that to someone else's just the way they want it, let alone 14 other engineers models. I am sorry if your model does not look the way you want but for the group photo it looks great. If you want to take the time to update my color assembly so future rendering have your model the way you want it be my guest. I look forward to seeing it.

    Hi Stephen,
I appreciate your efforts and work. Please don't get me wrong. I understand you. I even started working on a rendering as well. But interrupted and couldn't find enough time yet.
Anyway, I just payed attention to the issue, because I thought that the updated version would be ignored if not shown in the renders.
That was my concern, otherwise, of course I understand you.
Hope things are clear now. :)
    Regards,

I understand Selcuk, but I don't think this rendering/project will have any bearing on the GrabCAD staff when it comes to choosing winners for this challenge and if it does, I am sure they are doing to look at the actual models and will be sure to see the most up-to-date versions and the best renderings of the individual models.
I know time for projects like these is at a premium but if you get your rendering done, even if it is well past the results being announced, I would love to see it here. Hope to see it soon.
