very cool looking bettak. Where did your 30-50% reduced weight number come from? Did you estimate the original? Giving an ABS/PC material to the original and steel retaining bracket i get 229grams. From analyzing your designs weight it looks like 54% weight reduction to me :) The only suggest i would make to you is to have a guide on your cable guide wheel. Since there is nothing retaining the end of the cable its possible to walk the cable out.
