I understand the requirement was to have a cam lock handle and single bolt that would compression fit the bracket to the frame, however I could not find a simple solution that fit that design. This monolithic design still meets the requirements that it be held in place with only 2 bolts and should be easily removed or installed in about 5 minutes. The lower mounting plate for the 36" hydraulic cylinders would need to be slightly modified to fit over the wheel plates, but a stress analysis shows that it will not impact the margin of safety. Other than that the frame remains largely unchanged except for the mounting hole patterns.
I like the welded couplers that you have in that prototype also, looks like it should be strong enough!
5 months agoWinner #4. Even though this is super simple and doesn't show the cam - this is what we are trying right now and it should work. It is the simplest of all the designs. It also allows for a single person to mount this - as it slides right on to the frame from the side. This is a big practical consideration - one that none of the other entries have considered. I know this because each assembly is about 200 lb - and I am able to take this design on and off myself.
