Many backhoes route hoses inside the framework so they are protected. Hoses might be cheaper and easier because you will end up with less connectors. Also make sure you have independent controls for each of the outriggers. When using a backhoe sometimes you need to lower one more than the other to level the machine.

One of the design specs was 180 degrees of swing arc. Do you plan to add that?
