It is a slide. Guess of what it is :)
I think it is finished, though feel free to elaborate if some moves could be made more elegantly. I would do it a bit differently, should I start it now. My biggest concern at the moment is the flaring of the ejection port, it should be all-around, but I managed to get it so far that upper corners are not yet done.
I am not too sure in some internal measures - I have no drawings, only a real steel example, sometimes it is hard to measure some things. I think it is within .25 mm on guestimated measures and within .1 in calipered ones.
I also added couple of screenshots.
Should be 99.9% done now. I'll print it out and make some dry-fits.
6 months agoI printed it out, and it did not fit, either to frame or some smaller details to it. Turned out I did make some mistakes in measurements, which are mostly corrected but not updated here, yet. One practical and educational example about the usage of rapid prototyping for me.
I will correct the model, test with another print and then put it up here as an assembly - slide and parts as they come (firing pin, barrel etc), so instead of just a blank slide it will have the completed version of it here.
