It's a good design but hardly for the home builder due to complexity. Also concerned about crash worthiness. Might be interesting made in 1.5 or 2mm carbon plate though. CNC required.

I just saw the same design at Hobbyking and wondered if someone posted a model here, so THANK YOU!

But I'm still unsure if doing it myself is worth the trouble. They sell the kit for 17$ (plywood+ fiberglass, even with a camera mount). So it's really hard to beat that price when you by DIY. :(
