This is my idea. The design is like "Vetus UFO2", but with different mechanism.

Materials:
Spring: steel
The top cover - Stainless steel / Aluminium
The lower lid - Stainless steel / Aluminium
Inlet cover - Plastic / Aluminium
Sealing the top cover to the deck with rubber rings

    I think it's ok about visual on/off status. Hight of the knob will indicate it.
    Very nice and simple!
