This is a quick draft of a concept interior(in case I don't get any more time). The concept is supposed to play off the lines of the car which flow very well. I wanted the cockpit to look like it continued the aero of the body. Rather than a conventional dash board i went with a centrally located LCD "pod". All the navigation controls for the "pod" are located in a panel just behind the shifter on the tunnel. This will include some manual switches, a navigation knob and whatever other controls are needed. The dash and knee kick panels have vents which are controlled through the navigation on the "pod" to leave a clean futuristic look to the interior. This is also why the control panel is hidden when not in use.
Voice commands and steering wheel controls can handle most standard functions without the need for further navigation.
In addition to the LCD gauge on the dash, a HUD similar to a corvette as well as some steering wheel LED F1 style indicators would be used. Again keeping everything clean and hidden.
That's great news Matt. Yes, we would like o see door panels included with these interior concept submissions. But the A pillars are not a concern for this current conceptual design step.
7 months agoJerod, I got a little time on this dash last night but im not ready to upload another model yet :) This is a difficult design problem making an interior without the exterior but you have tons of great choices in this contest! Im 99% confident I can finish it by the deadline though!
7 months agoThanks for the update Matt. I do like the direction you started with on the teaser that you supplied. I hope to get to see more of your imagination conveyed through more details and components included in your final submission.
