Feed Sovella workbench v-1.0 By Chris Duncan on 17 Dec 08:38

Manual hydraulic adjustable workbench.

One foot operated hydraulic pump with foot operated pressure release valve.

Two vertical mount 300kg to 500kg rated hydraulic cylinders with 400mm travel. One centered in either side leg of the workbench.

Minimal modification to existing workbench. Minimal extra manufacturing process. Hydraulics have inherently low friction compared to other mechanical devices.

The average person has 4 to 6 times as much leg strength as they have arm strength. So lift rate could easily be set to meet or exceed target 15mm/s rate without spring assist. Lowering is even easier, with a properly configured release valve the action is very smooth with just a press of the release valve.

Potential drawbacks are that some hydraulic systems are not intended to be left in a load bearing position, they only are used to move the load. A locking system at the legs may need to be implemented, possibly over-center latches or spring pins. Either that or a spring loaded one way pawl that only locks on lowering. It would have a cable release to pull before lowering. This is similar to some automotive lifts.

Another feature that might be necessary would be a guard for the release valve so that it could not be accidentally engaged.

Some of the colleagues do not have your ideas and steal them About Our ideas, and then changed them, and it is not good. But I hope that the price shall be grabčad original ideas.

      Best regard!!!

Jovance. I want anyone to take any idea. I do not think anyone can own the idea.

The challenge is how to take the idea and make a design that uses the idea in the best way.

i had a similar idea ( barber chair style) I also think manually powered hydraulics are acceptable, with the correct sized components. Very little force would be needed, just sever pumps. I would think that it would come with a very reasonable price, for a pump and a pair of cylinders compared to several machined/cut/cast parts and gears. as well as probably quicker assemby. I also think the mention of no power would be in requards to there possibly being no "electrical Power source" available at every table.
