This is the case (stand, holder) I've done for my tablet PC. It appeared to be very functional, and supports my tablet in different positions.
The complete .svg file for Ponoko is also attached (under 'stl for 3D print').
I've rendered it with orange, but while cutting changed my mind and used blue fluorescent, on the last pictures you can see the real thing.
The files for SolidWorks are complete with all history, the Parent file is the initial one, it has 2 configurations for different sheet sizes you would like to use (I've used 3mm, but it is not that strong, so advice will be to use 5mm).
To tune it for your own laptop you just need to change the size in Parent file according to yours (first feature - sketch dimensions and extrude depth), everything else is recreated automatically.
Again, please do not use it for commercial propose, but other than that you are welcome to do whatever you like with it :)
очень интересная работа :)
9 months agoI would love to print this out on a 3D Printer. Can you convert it to a true stl file format?
5 months ago@Derek: Here you go, under the second STL for 3D print (82KB). It is 5mm thick, 'cos 3mm has been broken by my son apparently, so it is not that strong :)
