This is an example of the lighting calculation software I use as a Sr. Project Manager for a major lighting manufacturer (no names, sorry). The only 3rd party lighting calculation software is called AGi32. There are a lot of plug-ins for various CAD software packages, but this is a lighting analysis package first, and a CAD/Rendering package second. They're making some strides to becoming better at the latter, but when you're asking a PC to crunch accurate lighting calcs, having it look pretty isn't the most important thing. In any case, it's good software, for what it's meant for.
