Design for SolidSmack contest "Awesome Sauce"
Most toothbrush holders suck. Toothbrushes are touching each other wich is not so hygienic and on most of them you can’t clean the inside. Plus, toothbrushes must be different if you don’t want to end up with someone else toothbrush because you can’t have your "spot".
I’m not so serious about it but still, this design fixes everything (and is elegant).
It would be made of clear acrylic, very simple to manufacture.

That looks nice. A couple comments... It looks like cleaning inside the U shaped area at the bottom front would be difficult. I would remedy this by removing all the material from the back of the holder. One issue we have always had around this house is the weird kid toothbrushes. Some are fat and round, others had a car on the handle or suction cup at the end (so it stands without a holder). They never fit in traditional holders because the holes are too small. Point here is having larger notches in the bottom, like you have at the top, would better fit some of the kid's tooth brushes.
