Tikitreiler V5
I know the competition is over, but I wanted to do this one for myself, to see if the idea I had could be improved.
All the design requirements of the competition, and all of mine (See V4 List) with one exception:
The legs are no universal. They can be used in 1 or 2 axle configurations, but they are not interchangeable front to rear. Everything else was designed mirrored, to be used ion either side of the trailer.
V4 improvements include:
1-Both Springs are tucked into the mount, lined parallel and side by side.
2-Both dampers have been moved to symmetric mounting points that are very close to the body, which will provide substantially better support for the shocks.
3-The Damper bolt locations have been moved and now provide all the depth needed for more support.
4-The trailing arm is longer than the front arm, providing more torque to the rear, reducing vibration caused by both wheels trying to track with equal torque on the mount.
5-Less material was removed, and the arms were deepened a bit. Stress analysis on V4 resulted in safety factors of 3-6, and 2+ on most MES tests. This unit should prove even better.
I hope you all like. Now I can move on to something more productive.... like sleep.

Haha Showcase render
:)))
How are you finding Showcase John?
as I to am messing around with it just now.
I'm no redering expert like Josh and the gang. I know enough about lighting to tell you I don't know how to do it well.
Showcase is not as good, robust, etc as Key Shot, but a hell of a lot better than I am.
I think I'll keep working with it as time permits until I get better.
I'm finally getting used to the interface. Tomorrow's blog post will be first for Showcase.
How about you?
Yeah I feel the same John I do like Keyshot better and also with the new plug in that is available for it to make your own HDRI environments within Keyshot will make it even better than it is all ready. I do have to confess I think Showcase is a lot more power fuller by what I have seen it can do but as you said the interface for it is a little confusing when you are trying to learn with it, but I will be sticking with it trying to learn it as well as Keyshot.
