The aim of this project is to reverse engineer a 2 speed gearbox and be able to represent it geometrically using a 3D Design Software, SolidWorks. The gearbox has been modeled with the primary function of speed reduction. The assembly was simulated to run with an imaginary motor of 1000rpm rating affixed to the primary shaft. This setup can be practically used for low cycle machines power transmission, simple automotive components.
