This design for damping the wind breaker door again utilizes the modified hinge and pin arrangement I incorporated into my previous submissions.
The damping device is a simple commercially available air cylinder that contains a modified plug that threads into the air cylinder ports.
A small orifice is drilled through the plugs which allow air passage as the door is opened and closed. The orifice will be sized such that a moderate door speed will have slight resistence. As the door is open at a more rapid speed by the wind, the restriction of the orifice will cause the door to swing less violently.
