Thousands of tutorials to learn from
I enjoy some of the new GrabCAD website look but since image size format has changed... What is the best image size & aspect ratio to use when a Rendering is going to be uploaded? Also, what is the best method for viewing and/or downloading a Rendering in its original size & clarity as close as possible to the original rendering created?
I would say, choose a height pixels size, multiply it with 1.5 and it will give you the width size.
720 x 480 seems to be the best. However, this will not give the user a bigger picture when they click on the image. If you render a bigger picture, let's say 960 x 640, Grabcad will rescale it for you. But then the user will get to see a bigger picture when they click on your render.
Unfortunately, the old method allowed for one click on main Model page to see the true and real size/resolution image in a new browser window with no reduction in clarity... now it appears if anyone wishes to see true clarity of image they have to seek out the area and then download jpegs to their hard-drives to view the actual quality image. Already had one complaint by a client that the quality of renderings just was not clear enough... Until I emailed them the actual renderings and then they were happy. Thank You for your answer :-) Not sure I like the new "Upgrade".
I choose the size and aspect ratio that fits my screen or the results I am looking for best. If the rendering looks good for me, it will look good for GrabCAD.
That is actually the best solution, use 16:9, 4:3 or even 16:10 to get renders which can be used for wallpapers as well.
Good idea for wallpapers :-) While I talk bad about the new changes, GrabCAD is still a great area to learn and share CAD files. I was just hoping to also use it as a "Rendering Porfolio" area but until they make an area where I have full control over a single portfolio page I just don't think I can use GrabCAD as an area to link for clients to view. Maybe in the next upgrade :-) Cross my fingers they bring back the "To View Image in Full Size" option on the main Model page!! :-)
