I'm interested in starting to learn simulations? Any suggestions which would be the best software to start with?

Obviously I started with the built in simulation environment in Inventor. Then I moved to Autodesk Simulation Multiphysics. This suite has a lot of capabilities but if you are interested in aerodynamics then Fluent by Ansys is the right software for you. For metal structures I use Robot, again by autodesk. Some of my civil engineer friends use other software like Tekla and Metalcad.

Depends on what you call "simulation" I guess... Finite Elements linear statics? Thermal? Fluid? Acoustics?
