  actually you can File>>Save as>>(Save as type:>>STEP/IGES) on Solidworks 2011

     do you mind leaving your email? I'll send the file to you the min i'm done tweaking it.

     The format is for a GrabCAD Challenge, so its best if I upload the STEP with my original Solidworks file at the same time :)

     Because I have the student version of Solidworks, which restricts exporting files in other formats.

     If you could help me convert the file that would be awesome :)

  excuse the curiosity, but why you want to convert it to STEP/IGS?

     Because its one of the requirements to upload the a STEP/IGES format for the GrabCAD challenges :P
