I was asked recently to convert a Zbrush virtual sculpt to a SolidWorks or ProE part file. I had to tell them I didn't know how to do it. Does anyone have a good way to accomplish this?
if you can save it to .obj maybe you can use geomagic studio. it's reverse engineering software which has ability to convert polygonal model into solid model. but offcourse it's not that easy...you can find the tutorial on youtube. good luck.
ZBrush will save to OBJ but I don't have a good way to go from OBJ to SW. I don't use ProE but that is the end format the client desired for the ZBrush file. Anyone know if ProE can take an OBJ file? I have looked into Geomagic but it is a very expensive software. Maybe Rhino could be used as a file convertor. Its not too expensive. I think Rhino will open OBJ files and could then maybe output something SW or ProE could open.
