Does Inventor 2011 have a "match properties" button?

By Greg Pavlik on 06 Apr 00:24 4 answers 793 views 0 comments

I know that AutoCAD has has a "match properties" so that if I want to make one line the same color, linetype, lineweight, etc. as another line you just use that and you can easily make a whole bunch of items the same. Lately in Inventor I have been trying to color/ texture many different faces for rendering purposes, but it takes a long time because I have to click each individual face/ feature and do them one by one. It sure would help speed things up if there was a "match properties" button like in AutoCAD.

Hold down CTRL and click your faces you want after you have selected the ones you want right click on mouse - down to properties and select what colour you want from there....
You can also change colours and materials within IV studio

Another thought would be to create styles for the material to match whatever look you are after. Your work flow is simply select the correct material type iProperty, and the correct material color and texture are applied immediately.

Thanks guys, Williams suggestion about just holding down the control button works, it lets you keep picking as many faces as you want. Overall this should really help speed things up.
    Thanks again
