hey could you please convert my .dwg file to .igs (or whatever file that would help me to open this file in HyperMesh) ?
well, i only used the option "save as" and choose "other formats"; in the extension options it appears the 2010, 2007, and 2004 .DXF format, so here it is your file; peace!
hi. first click on file option on bar then select the EXPORT item in open panel then again select the format to change or save your work in IGS or STP.
In the command line in AutoCad, you can type stepout this will export the file in step format. typing igesout will export it in iges format.

Hi Folks
I have no answer but am looking for such.
Since I can not afford to buy AutoCAD or any other CAD, I am trying to use FreeCAD which uses the IGS/STP or STEP format.
I tried several converters with "This is not a true 32bit software" error flashing back to me.
I run windows 5 ( 32 bit - there is a 64 bit mode but sucks). I also have Linux Mint 17.3 and have FreeCAD on it as well.
I am trying VariCAD but having issues. Am in contact with them for help.
Any suggestions, folks?
Being on disability prevents me from splurging of $50 plus software!
OH! I do have an 8 bit CAD 3D from Expert Software I bought back in 1998. It works but not comparable with today's memory hogging software.
Any help?
Thank you in advance
