How can I create several parts out one complex part in SW?

If I have a part and I want to make two or more parts out of that part, is there a way to do it?

If you have a new version of SW (not working in SW2010) you can split a part with the split command.

  The split command is the command I was looking for. It works just fine. Good luck with the SW2012.

  I didn't try it yet, I just installed SW2012 two days ago. Still a lot of work to finish in SW2010... Then, learning to use all the new features :)

  I already got the SP 1.0 with it (I always wait for SP 1 to be released to eliminate the initial bugs) and I hope the learnig process with the new features since 2010 release will not be too hard :)
