How do you make a winglet in SolidWorks?

By Sumukh Bharadwaj on 26 Feb 05:43 3 answers 1207 views 1 comment

Hi, I'm a beginner at solidworks (hence the amateurish question) and I want to test winglets using solidworks flow simulation for a project I'm working on. I've got a simple wing, but I don't know how to approach making a winglet for this wing. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Here is a quick winglet if anyone wants to write a tutorial on it, or at least explain it for the original question.

Could you ad a picture of said "winglet" so we can see exactly what it is?

Update: picture so we now know what a winglet is. Trust me, you don't want to leave it open to too much interpretation on this site. :)

One thing that might help is if you could upload your current wing? This would get you a lot more answers so users know what you are starting with. Another suggestion here is to also post your question in the request section: http://grabcad.com/requests/new You will most likely end up with a bunch of different designs tossed at you and some tutorials and you'll have a lot less work to do. There are a bunch of different ways to produce the solid/surface you are looking for.
