  select any predefined material. use properties to manage its properties like it looks, density, shine etc.

  some steps that might help... in german language

  1. Step 1

     creatting a material Library, save the old library

     

  2. Step 2

     create a new familiy, cast materials for gray cast (not shure about the right words)

  go to infrastructure in the start menu of catia and select material library ...there you can create new material and define its constants like younges modulus etc
