     use hole command in part design

     make a hole with thread, every standard is predefined

     

  3. Step 3

     compare! hole with NO thread.

  Here is steps to create M8 shaft.

  1. Step 1

     Create a shaft definition as shown

     

  2. Step 2

     Create a Point definition as shown

     

  3. Step 3

     Create a Axis definition as shown

     

  4. Step 4

     Go to Wire frame & Surface design

     

  5. Step 5

     Create Helical curve.

     

  6. Step 6

     Create a Helix curve definition as shown

     

  7. Step 7

     Switch back to Part design.

     

  8. Step 8

     Create a slot definition and sketch profile.

     

  9. Step 9

     Sketch as shown

     

  10. Step 10

      Select helix as center curve.

      In profile control, check pulling direction & select axis.

      

  11. Step 11

      Finish the part to match the illustration shown.
