     You can use Wrap :) but you must calculate the circumference of a circle 2*pi*r

     i wanted to model a salt and peper set just like this one, but i can`t seem to model the crown.

  Ive been planning on doing this one myself. I think you just need to create a revolve for the basic rounded shape, then extrude cut a triangle (or whatever shape you want your crown points to be), apply a circular pattern to the extruded cut and you'll get the basic shape of a crown.
