  I think it would be good to be awarded badges by the number of downloads. For example, a simple badge for 1000, 2000 bronze, 5000 silver, 10000 gold, 20000 platinum or something like that.
  I also think it would be good to be awarded points for each download model, for example, 5 point for author for each download model from profile.

     Hi Milivoje, that is a good point but there is all ready a badge for a 10K download but would maybe be good Idea for the new members of GrabCAD to have 1000, 2000 and 5000 download badge :P

  I think GrabCAD needs to encourage quality not quantity and the badge system should be designed to do this.
  I think badges that reward 'most 'something' in a month' should be abandoned as this depends partly at least on what other people do and is by nature an inconsistent standard (not to mention encouraging quantity).
  We could have a badge for a high average number of downloads of a members models. This would discourage people from uploading many items that few people want.
  We could have a badge for a high average number of likes, for the same reasons.
  We could have a badge for 'a contribution of outstanding quality' but this should be awarded to each and every upload considered worthy and not for the best in a particular month as this would be inconsistent and unfair.

     Couldn't agree more with everything you said Aled. Great idea to have badge levels differentiated with colours/grades, and a shame about users who blindly upload renders that don't in any way enhance the original work and worse, file versions to unpopular models in obscure formats that no one has an interest in? Why give out 10 points every time some guy makes a "saves as" on a model?

     Completely agree with you Aled. The fact that most of the rewards here are based on quantity has always been an issue......for us as users. Unfortunately it would be very difficult to have a fair way of judging ALL models based on quality.

     Aled there is all ready a badge for 10K download and only one other badge for when you upload 10 models I am sure it is? Apart from that you have made a very good comment about the rest. There is no reason why a new badge or two could not be giving out for what you have said and that way it would be down to the community to help award a new badge on quality - I like this Idea a lot :P

     I agree with you Steen, It's not difficult or time consuming to press the 'save as' button, and some renders seem like no more than screen dumps so why give 15 points for them?

  Need to create more badges. It's very funny and you feel assessed. For examples: if an engineer has 2 „Competition Winner“ badges, then the user receives not two „cup“ badges, but one different (the newly created) . If an engineer has shared 20k models – receives „20k“ badge, (not „10k“). In GC are different types engineers and designers, GC team can organize a competition for „BADGE“ creating.

     Great Idea Tomas behind you 100% on that one as yes you are right there is diffrent types of engineers and designers..... :P and a comp would be great for a design of new badges :P would have the community playing a little part in it - Great team spirt
