  Tutorial: How to use split in Autodesk Inventor.

  1. Step 1

     Invoke a sketch on the plane.

     

  2. Step 2

     Draw a sketch which will be used for splitting. Here I take an arc. Finish the sketch.

     

  3. Step 3

     Click on split.

     

  4. Step 4

     Click on "split face".

     

  5. Step 5

     Select the face.Click ok.

     

  6. Step 6

     This is the result of the above steps. Here only one face is splitted.

     

  7. Step 7

     Use the option to split some selected faces.

     

  8. Step 8

     Click on "split solid". Select the arc as the split tool. Click ok.

     

  9. Step 9

     This is the result for the above steps.

     

  10. Step 10

      Remaining in the first option,select "all".

      

  11. Step 11

      Select the arc as the split tool. Click OK.

      

  12. Step 12

      This is the result for the above steps. The result is same as that of "split solid".

      

  13. Step 13

      Click on split bodies. select the direction. click ok.

      

  14. Step 14

      This is the result of using split bodies.
