Tutorial - Modeling a Taper helix in SolidWorks?

  Here is the tutorial.

  1. Step 1

     Start SolidWorks in part mode.

     

  2. Step 2

     Top plane>>Sketch.

     

  3. Step 3

     Draw a circle of 25mm dia.

     

  4. Step 4

     Curves>>helix and spiral.

     

  5. Step 5

     Defined by Pitch and revolution and pitch = 2.5mm and revolution = 10, start angle = 0º and Clockwise.

     

  6. Step 6

     Top plane>>sketch.

     

  7. Step 7

     Select the sketch under helix and then convert entities.

     

  8. Step 8

     Curves>>helix and spiral.

     

  9. Step 9

     ame pitch and revolution be 5. Change it to counterclockwise with taper helix 23.00º inward.

     

  10. Step 10

      We have the helix generated.

      

  11. Step 11

      We can sweep along the curves.
