Tutorial on modeling drill bit.

    Here is the tutorial.

    1. Step 1

      Sketch >> Top plane.

      Medium

    2. Step 2

      Draw this profile.

      Medium

    3. Step 3

      Revolve it about base line.

      Medium

    4. Step 4

      Again Sketch >> Top plane.

      Medium

    5. Step 5

      Draw a line and spline tangent to it.

      Medium

    6. Step 6

      Exit the sketch and go to Insert >> Sweep >> Cut.

    7. Step 7

      Press CTRL and then select both line and spline and press middle mouse button.

    8. Step 8

      For section draw a circle with center outside the drill body.

      Medium

    9. Step 9

      Material side be inside the circle.

      Medium

    10. Step 10

      Click OK and the feature is generated.

    11. Step 11

      Select cut feature and then Edit >> Pattern.

    12. Step 12

      About X-Axis at 360º two times. Click OK.

    13. Step 13

      Now we have two cut feature generated.

      Insert >> Warp.

    15. Step 15

      Select the body and then twist tool. Under References change direction to Right plane.

      Input the angle value 180º and click OK.

      We have drill bit generated.
