  Almost every engineer/designer is looking for a side job. Maybe somebody will notice you on GC and offer you something. But before that happens you must upload some of your work and fill your profile with information about your working experience. Than maybe, just maybe you might find something.

  I agree with Branko, GC is a great place to show your skills. You could also use freelance websites such as "Freelancer" or "Elance" and advertise your expertise there.
