Go for a 3D mouse, like SpaceMouse or SpacePilot you will boost your productivity!

Any good mouse with a good mouse pad will do, but I recommend adding a 3D mouse like Aleix said if your work justifies its price tag.

I really like my mouse, a logitech g700, it has the necessary buttons for moving views in pro-e and you can free wheel if you prefer. It also has a few extra buttons which I use for dpi increase\decrease and some mapkeys. It also has great software to back it up. I use it daily and have over 2 million clicks on it (I have a click counter program). But if your sold on a joystick style I also have one of those a 3d connections brand. It works great I just have trouble with the big assemblys that I work on.
