Design a Brain Challenge with the Digital Anatomy Creator

Powered by the Digital Anatomy Creator, the medical modeling community continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in anatomical 3D printing.

To celebrate World Brain Day and pursue advances in brain health for all, we invite you to join a challenge to develop and submit your best geometrical design and material structure for human brain tissue.

Requirements

  • Requirements:

    • A designed ADM file of an internal brain structure.

    • A CAD file of brain geometry.

    • A print file with all files ready for print.

    • Photos and an explanation of your work. Why did you choose these materials in this structure? How did you validate your development?

    • · Download GCP 1.68 Version

  • Submission Guidelines:

    • DAC users can submit all requirements to the GCP challenge page and fill the ADM saving tabs according to the attached photo (attachment).

    • Participants using Demo Mode should follow the instructions in the Demo document (attachment), select “send it to us” option on the top right corner and fill the submission tabs according to the attached photo (attachment).

    • Supported file formats: ADM, STL, OBJ, JPEG, PNG, PDF, Word, Print.

    • The challenge is only for brain tissue. All additional parts of the brain can be printed using DAP presets.

    • DAP TAG, DAP Materials

  • Attached You Will Find:

    • A brain model for testing, which can be submitted if no other brain model is available.

    • The DAC Technical Application guide, a document that will lead you step by step about using the SW (attachment).

    • How to complete the ADM submission using Demo Mode (attachment).

    • Recorded tutorials of all the basics you need to know about the SW.

    • A link to the DAC group on GCP Community.

    Good afternoon.
I have looked at your site: https://www.stratasys.com/en/digital-anatomy-creator/
I did not understand the task at all. So please answer my questions:
1 What is the global (end) goal of the project being developed. This brain will be printed out and somewhere internally вставят? Some kind of doll. Or are you just gathering ideas and don't need the brain itself? You already have a great approach to printing anatomical parts directly from an MRI.
2 What functions should this brain perform? No function, just will lie in some kind of demonstration doll. Any simple reactions? Self-diagnosis, if the student creat not there damage. Imitation of conditional bleeding? Any functional reactions?
3 Will it be some kind of layout for medical training?
4 Is the material needed to simulate operations? What is similar from a real person? Only visual demonstrations?

Hope for understanding. You write under of your own experience. But I don't know him. Not ponten context.

    Hello Konstantin,

    Thank you for your message!

The challenge is intended to expose participants to the Digital Anatomy™ Creator capabilities. We chose to focus on the brain to raise awareness for World Brain Day (July 22nd ).
You are invited to create an anatomical model that mimics the brain either visually (ex: focus on vasculature) or functionally (ex: behaves like native tissue in a mechanical test or a procedure simulation of your choosing). CAD files of a brain model are provided as a starting point but uploading your own model will award you more points. The mandatory files are for material structure of the print, the .ADM file that is the output of the DAC SW.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or require more information.
We look forward to evaluating your submission!
    Good luck!

Just a reminder for the submission requests- the challenge main goal is to use Digital Anatomy Creator SW and create .ADM file to submit. .STL files are not mandatory but a good addition.
