Summer position. Solo developed robots (constructing circuit boards, calibrating sensors, installing mechanical mechanisms, etc.) and their corresponding construction/operation user manuals for the company’s merchandise offerings.
Summer position. Solo designer/programmer/developer for Dragon VR prototype; first portable, affordable, multiapplication electric motion-simulator chair for home entertainment systems. Self-taught all concepts to design the electric circuit, original algorithms, and programming code for the four degrees-of-freedom synchronized movement with compatible Oculus Rift programs, movies, videogames, and teleoperated control. Achieved similar performance at 50% cost of the leading brand.
Summer Internship. Designed/developed robotic Klann walkers for a U.S. Military project and excited harmonic oscillation testing platforms for a medical device project. Assisted in the development of the GPS system for Yamaha’s Motobot. Involved in design engineering think tanks for designing a program for 3D mesh modeling to hardware motion simulation.
Contract position for the subdivision, Higher Ground. Solo designed/developed two satellite-based drone projects; 1) An original automatically adaptive network system of autonomously flying drones simultaneously communicating GPS data and flight analytics to a coordinator drone mid flight. 2) A ground-to-space satellite tracker platform mounted on an autonomously flying drone for a consistently secure signal communication even during mid flight rotations and obstacles. Project focus shifted, concluding contractual obligations.
Temporary position between company employments. Solo designed/developed/programmed/tested a 3D-printed autonomous egg breakfast cooker. Rapid prototyping included designing algorithms for original mechanical mechanisms and using CAD to develop all aspects including an egg cracking/disposal system, multiapplication thermoelectrical cooker/software program, and pressurized water jet cleaner for optimal efficiency and simplistic user experience.
Within the first month, assigned to a Project Lead role to improve the design of an aspect of the product and selected to travel to Otto’s testing facility in China to co-manage a team of engineers to optimize the reliability testing division. Other responsibilities included; components/fixtures design with Siemens NX, creation of a data parser that significantly increased the efficiency and clarity for testing data analysis, application of DFMEA, FTA, mechanical/electrical/software cause-consequence analysis, etc. to identify root causes, design correction/testing plans, and validate solutions. The company ceased operations and all employments due to an unexpected failed acquisition.
Responsible for mechanical/electrical design improvements of the product along with optimizing the product with root-cause analysis and test design within the reliability testing division.
