It has happened to all of us, you need to go to your models and remove bomb, weapon, handgun, pistol, missile and the list goes on all the nasty buzz words GrabCad seems to have an issue with now.

They will then be no longer hidden.

Same thing happened with me. Some of my models being removed with my grabcad score reduction

In my case I've decided to take out all my offending models and made my own portfolio. Still don't know why I don't delete my profile. Grabcad is a different thing now.

Are you using any particular service for that?

Remove the tags which are related to guns and you are good to go. If the problem persists, make some changes in the model name.

That's not a solution to the google's ads enforcement, Grabcad already sold its soul. It used to be a free CAD showcase, i'm not sure what it is now.

No, not any particular service ... there's no free alternative. Just used my Github account and created my own website. Any time I need to showcase my work I send the same address

Of course you need aome way to create your own html structure. Is not perfect, but it works, and most importantly you have complete control; and you can even adhere to ... shhhh ... google's metrics ... lol

Yep. I wiped my account. I got sick of the inaction and non-answers to my concerns.

The moment Grabcad's board decided to start sucking on Google's teat was when it sold its soul to Mr. Money, and distorted a fundamental pillar of its foundation. It's a point from which there's no going back. And the customer support elves go into hiding because they can't do anything to change the situation.

I too have had a lot of models hidden from public view.

So I tried many and varied methods to try and reachout to someone who would listen and to even answer me.

It took what seemed an age before I finally got a response and even then it was just a matter of saying that the models violated the comunity standards and then GHOSTED because it all got to hard.

I was at a loss to see how a plain screw, that could be bought at any hardware store or a normal flat washer or a spring could be classed as breaching standards???????

Then all you have to do is a search in the library for any of the so called banned items and you can find thousands.

Where is the consistancy, the support, the followup, the common sence?

I have been around from a very early time of this site and have put in time, effort and suggestions to try and grow this site, only to get kicked in the ass and told so sad to bad, then GHOSTED.

It is nearly at that stage that I will delete all my work and leave as there is no benifit.

There are more than 6 million cad files uploaded to GrabCAD.

We do not and cannot monitor each upload. We only take action on individual items when reported directly to us. Otherwise the model hiding is done automatically by the system. It usually targets certain keywords, such as weapons.

So how do we get models unhidden?

If we change the wording of the model will the system relook at it and reverse its decision if it was the system that did it in the first place?

So the other 49 examples with the word sten in them haven't been hidden yet so does that mean I had a complaint put in about me or my models?????

Type in weapon in the library search and you get 5 pages of guns, knives, cannons and crossbows?????

Where is the consistancy?

What have I done wrong????????????????????????????

Why have I been targeted??????????????????????????

Who complained about me????????????????????????

It just doesn't make any sense!

You are not targeted :) No one has the time to target an individual amongst millions of users on this website - unless it's a spam or copyright issue.

The system (Community website) have many other automated rules about the uploads. We cannot disclose them for security reasons, but basicly it includes weapons, weapon parts, certain keywords, copyright and brand infringements, spam links, etc... It's not ideal, but we try to keep improving it.

When I checked your models, it seems they are all weapon parts, especially suspenders. I think they might be hidden for this reason at https://help.grabcad.com/article/149-community-values-and-guidelines?locale=en

What about aaaaaallllll the others that are still up on the site?

Search for knife in the library and see how many there are, 1000s.......

So if I put a plain block of concrete up and call it a mounting block for an Machine gun then that will be blocked?????????

I wouldn't mind so much if there was consistancy, you know one rule for all...................................................................................

As I said before, it's an automated system and it's not ideal.

If you have any non-weapon/parts models that are hidden, please share them with me and I can manually unhide them.

Alright, if you, a person who has had a model hidden because the AI that controls content had deemed it as breaching comunity guidelines, here is the solution.

As per Halcyon66 on the Sep 9 at the top of this topic said, you need to reword your description of remove a tag.

Find what is the word or phraze or tag that hides your hard work.

I had to remove things like "Trigger housing" and a tag of "9mm"

It may be a pain but it is the easiest solution.

Once you have saved your changes go back to your models page and do a refresh to see if it is back in the world of the living, it will be instant if it worked.

If not try another word or tag.
