Jeff Carrick

I am a 2010 graduate from Southwestern Michigan College with an AAS in CAD. I am also a Certified Solidworks Associate (CSWA). I have continued to keep my CAD skills sharp since graduation by designing things for my wife who suffered a stroke in Oct. of 2009. Because of this I can tell you first hand that necessity truly is the mother of invention. Hopefully I can upload some of the things I have designed for her soon.

work experience

I have not yet had the opportunity to use my CAD skills to benefit an employer. However that doesn't mean that I have been idle. I have continued to do projects in Solidworks as well as expand my knowledge of Solidworks. I have purchased 2 books on Solidworks, one covers assemblies the other covers advances modeling such as sweeps, lofts, sheet metal, etc. I am also interested in architectural cad and 3 or 4 projects going in DraftSight. One of them is my shed. It needs to be rebuilt so I am working on that and trying to reuse as many materials as possible.
