what you can achieve is only limited by your imagination

I was invited to complete a CSWA exam in 2013 while in my final year at secondary school and after passing my CSWA [and using a 3D printer to print some designs I did in my spare time (which is what I uploaded here)], I wanted to pursue a career in CAD. Through college, I completed a rail infrastructure course and a manufacturing course where I learned the basics of design evaluation/simulation, CNC machining, and electronics design. In addition to mechanical and manufacturing engineering, I had a new appreciation for electronics and electrical design. Always wanting to learn more, I was offered a job at Datum in Derby, after completing a weeks work experience there. Here I learned how a CNC based business works and learned more about operating CNC machines and CAD design in an actual work environment. Nearing the new 2015 academic year, I was offered the chance to study at Derby College as an undergraduate in either electronic or mechanical engineering. Wanting a break from CAD/CAM, I chose to undertake the electrical route at Derby. As Derby was in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University I decided to transfer courses to study IEEE CEng route approved BEng (Honours) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, at Sheffield Hallam University to gain more knowledge and experience on that subject. During my time at university, I joined the 2017 IEEE Formula Student team, which aims to allow students to build a formula student spec car from the ground up and compete against other universities and technical colleges around the world; this has allowed me to do more CAD work towards a CSWP and real-world experience with mechanical engineering and electronic engineering system, as I was in the electronics sub-team. In the future, I look at completing my course at Sheffield Hallam and having been invited to complete a CSWP by a senior manager at SolidWorks; and then on to finding a company with a passion for what they do and a willingness to take on someone who is always looking to learning new skills.
