I started off using manual Lathes. After a short time i made my way into the CNC department. After a few years and some good training I became a Lead setup with CNC Lathes doing breech work on gun barrels. At some point in my 5 years i worked in inspection for a short time, to learn a bit of the equipment for Quality Control.
I jumped right into CNC here and focused primaraly on Vertial Mills. Here I was placed in a cell will all the New machines just coming in. I worked closely with the engineering/programming department with new jobs.
This is were I work currently. I started off running and setting up CNC Vertial Mills and started running Horizotal mills for the first time. I soon became incharge of the Tool Room (someone liked my organizational skills). While working in the tool room i manage a vending Solution Machine for our tools (and all our inventory and ordering). Im also the Rework goto, 5s, and im on a few other shop improvement project that I really shouldnt discuss at this time.
