Can anybody suggest me some companies or industries where I can apply for my summer training or internship programmes?

Can anybody suggest me some companies or industries where I can apply for my summer training or internship programmes? I'm recently a 3rd year Mechanical student in B.Tech.
I've been looking for but it's really very hard getting in touch with any company. They hardly look at the requests when sent through an email. :(
