Can I make a list of structural members in the Bill of Materijals in Solidworks?

By Arijan Golub on 19 Apr 18:40 2 answers 295 views 0 comments

I have been trying to do this for days. I have a part made out of 15 different structurals members (pipes, square beams, etc). Is there a way I can make a relatively simple bill of materials with: a) names b) dimensions c) quantity
If anyone has a solution or even a hint I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

What you want to do is very simple, when you edit the table of materials, add more columns in the orientation you want, in the header of each new column only select the property that should appear for each piece, such as total length of the Piece, if you have cutting angles you can also select that, diameter, type of material, thickness, even if it is a piece bought you can specify the supplier and model number or part, there I leave you a sample photo, and I hope you are Very useful.
