Chromium surface on brass detail

By Madis Lammergas on 16 Mar 11:18 1 answer 453 views 0 comments

Hi,

I try to draw a bolt and a nut in Solidworks. The material is brass that is covered by chromium. The thread should be M20x1,5 after chromium is added. Due to fact that brass details are produced by one producer and chromium is added by other, I need to say to brass parts producer how much thinner the threads should be that their measures after chromium will be M20x1,5.

Can anybody advise how such things should be marked on drawings and how to resolve it in Solidworks.

Thanks,
Madis
